Contract type: Full time, Fixed Term Contract until 31/05/2024 Secondment opportunity available for internal employees Location: Brighton (remote working) Join our team as a Training Designer for our Student Information System (SIS) – Salesforce rollout! As the Training Designer, you will be responsible for creating and designing engaging training materials to support our staff in adopting the new system and maximizing its benefits. You will also be responsible for managing the training platform and reviewing/updating existing materials. ABOUT THE ROLE Review, evaluate and update existing course materials In conjunction with subject matter experts, create materials from a blank sheet of paper Design, develop, author, narrate, record, edit, and implement training content and e-learning including handouts, checklists, manuals, tests/quizzes, presentations, scripts, video, audio, etc Proof-read and edit content for proper use of grammar, punctuation, style, and brand guidelines. Review and test content for accuracy and usability. Produce, edit, and deliver engaging training content through web-based, instructor-led, and virtual classroom learning formats Delivery of virtual and face to face live sessions to staff across time zones (may require irregular working hours) Ensure all platform administration is carried out and staff have adequate access Monitor completion of training via various methods Work with stakeholders to identify additional training needs Undertake additional duties as required by the line manager. ABOUT YOU Experience of Create engaging, interactive, and effective training and performance support materials that meet learning outcomes Strong training writing and training content development skills, including attention to detail and the ability to analyse, organise, and effectively communicate complex ideas through writing. Experience of delivering training Administration of systems or platforms Use of e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Captivate) Use of Trailhead or Salesforce Ability to quickly learn subject matter. Be self-motivated, versatile and able to work on own initiative with little supervision. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
