What you’ll do

• Be part of a new, growing Portfolio function within Global Reliability, you’ll be supporting the central analysis function for all new work initiatives being requested across the department. Mainly supporting one of more of the key areas, namely: SRE, Security, Governance and Operations & Observability.
• You will be involved in work-in take forums, general work in-take, quarterly work in take across various channels.
• Breakdown high-level programme and project asks (such as features and improvements for Peacock, Sky Showtime, NOW and any new international propositions) from Global Streaming Platform, into refined Global Reliability deliverables, working with Engineers across the department.
• Be able to coordinate and engage between multiple partners, to collate estimates and help simplify sophisticated work, with multiple dependencies, into something which can be road-mapped and delivered.
• Help to manage the backlog of work initiatives for Global Reliability, to ensure teams have a clear, forward-looking view of already refined work.
• Understand the architecture vision and help translate the high-level architecture to solution components and capabilities and understand how components integrate with one another and how to make those integrations resilient and reliable.

What you’ll bring

• Hands on analysis experience in technology projects, problem-solving skills, and a passion to learn. Variety of backgrounds including development and QA roles are encouraged.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a clear understanding of what is important when building highly available, highly reliable services to best serve our customers
• Write good user stories and acceptance criteria, using tools including Jira, Confluence and git projects
• Previous experience in an SRE/DevOps environment, working with Infrastructure and Security deliverables, paired with a solid technical understanding in which you can be comfortable representing some of the engineering functions within Global Reliability
• Proven experience as an analyst in Portfolio/Programme delivery, with involvement in the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, but specifically work in-take processes, change requests, overarching governance, and process set-up.
• Proven experience working in an Agile work environment, running deliverables through epics and user stories with defined acceptance criteria
• Awareness of Cloud Services (AWS & GCP), app and web development technologies, techniques, and practices in a fast-paced work environment
