Senior Financial Analyst – Remote/WFH

Key Responsibilities Include

• Work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of Corporate Finance and be responsible for certain group finance activities with a focus on capital/debt management and some key treasury activities
• Assist the Finance Manager in monitoring/reporting of the Group capital surplus position, own and maintain group and local capital management processes and finance
• Provide support to the Corporate Finance Manager in activities relating to group-wide projects affecting capital structure
• Contribute to continuous enhancement of the group and local capital reporting capabilities and the Corporate Finance team and/or other ad-hoc requests and analysis as and when required
• Support the Corporate Finance Manager in internal external stakeholder management which includes Senior management, local Finance teams, Actuarial teams, members agents, credit rating agencies and corporate member outsourced service providers
• Support and mentor junior team members, with a focus on customer service to provide best in class service

Knowledge And Experience

• Ideally coming from financial services or similar industry and having experience in financial analysis
• Lloyd’s Syndicates/Insurance/Solvency II/capital management experience preferable
• Experience of designing processes and managing controls
• Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills

Skills, Abilities And Competencies

• Problem solver with exceptional influential, analytical and reconciliation skills
• Able to work under pressure meeting and strong prioritisation and organisation skills
• Excellent MS working knowledge and strong IT application knowledge
• Familiarity with working with general ledger application
• Technical accounting skills (UK GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II) preferable
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills to effectively communicate with and be able to work with other finance teams collaboratively
