Bank Helpline Operator Flexible 8 hours per week Salary – £12.36 per hour Location Chalfont St. Peter South Buckinghamshire, near M25 Be part of something extraordinary at Epilepsy Society. We are seeking an excellent communicator who can empathise, and understand the importance of listening, to join a charity that provides world leading support for people with epilepsy through Care, Research and Advocacy. A bit about the role Our confidential helpline is looking for a Bank Helpline Operator. If you are an excellent communicator who can empathise, and understand the importance of listening, this role may be for you. The helpline provides a confidential service giving up-to-date information and offering emotional support, using counselling skills, to anyone affected by epilepsy. You could be speaking to a health professional, someone with the condition themselves, or close family members. Challenging, but rewarding this role will develop your understanding of epilepsy and give you a whole new set of skills for professional and self-development. Once trained you will need to be available to work for three four hour shifts a week, including weekends (Saturday): either 8.45am to 12.45pm, 12.15pm to 16.15pm or 15.45pm to 19.45pm to cover our evening service. Extensive training will be given, including an ‘Introduction to Counselling Skills’ course, along with support before you take calls independently.
