Pool Worker About the Service / Department
We help people who have mental health needs and some dual diagnosis, find a permanent home, manage their finances, take care of their health, and access work, training or education. We also offer emotionaland practical support to help people succeed in their daily lives. All of our services are built around the needs of our service users, ensuring that the individuals have control over the support they receive. We believe in empowering people to have a voice in the choices that benefit them, their families and theirlocal communities and to fulfil their aspirations and live the most independent, healthy and enriching lives possible. We work with recovery approaches that built on people’s strengths, hopes and dreams. In line with the principles of the Hestia Approach, we very much want to coproduce the design of this service with stakeholders including service users, staff, local organisations and the commissioner (Hammersmith & Fulham). The South Cluster is a welcoming and friendly environment with a very supportive staff team and we work closely with other professionals and agencies.About the role
Some other main responsibilities of the role include:

• Provide support to service users on a daily basis
• Empower service users in all aspects of daily living
• Support a group of key service users, carry out key-work and delivering on the agreed supportplan

About you

• Experience of working with people with mental health needs and dual diagnosis
• Knowledge of issues affecting those with mental health needs, substance misuse issues and single
• homeless and vulnerable young people (relevant to specific role)
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Basic awareness of health and safety issues
• Willingness to cook and clean with the service users (where appropriate)
• Ability to work within a rota system, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately
