We are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant working with the SEND/Inclusion Team. The role is to support teachers and other professionals by implementing work, care and support programmes with students to enable them to continue learning and making good progress in College, while also offering specific administration and clerical support. You will also be required to be a House Tutor and support our students during House Welcome Time and House Development Time. Key responsibilities: Work with identified students, including those with SEND and EAL, individually and in groups to ensure learning and progress. Collaborate with SIP colleagues to support the inclusion of all students. Deliver learning activities, interventions, and monitor student progress. Set challenging expectations, promote self-esteem, and encourage independent action. Prepare, maintain, and create a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment. Lead a House Tutor Group. Take responsibility for equipment care, preparation, maintenance, and use. Timetable student access arrangements for formal exams under Deputy Inclusion Coordinator’s guidance. Support administration of alternative curriculum courses within the SIP. Administer routine tests, invigilate exams, and mark students’ work as needed. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Education Plans and Personal Care Programmes. Occasionally act as a Cover Supervisor for mainstream lessons. Provide accurate, constructive, and detailed feedback to teachers and students as needed. Promote positive values, attitudes, and good student behaviour. Liaise with parents when required. Support students in developing competence and independence in using ICT for learning. Assist in supervising students outside of lesson times. Supervise internally excluded students. Conduct investigations into breaches of the Radiate Behaviour Policy by students, collating statements, and making recommendations as required. Provide first aid and attend necessary training.
