The Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a procurement professional to join the UK Sites and Professional Services Procurement team, within the MBDA Group Indirect procurement team. Working in an international context, the successful candidate will bring their experience and knowledge to ensure effective category management across the UK Professional Services perimeter. Leading a small team, the Professional Services Procurement Manager would take responsibility in structuring the team to deliver on business and departmental objectives by working with the team to develop and deliver effective strategies. The UK Sites and Professional Services Procurement team works across MBDA UK in a changing environment, managing and implementing both mature services, and new services and infrastructure. Leading the Professional Services team with sourcing and management of suppliers within the UK Professional Services domain, ensuring the team establish procurement/category strategies and plans, undertaking contract management and competitions to ensure the procurement of contracts at the best possible price and quality of service, monitoring suppliers performances delivery and quality with the purpose of optimising operational service and contributing to company savings targets. To coordinate with other Professional Services procurement teams (in France and Italy NATCOs), in order to identify any sourcing synergies, exchange procurement practice, and publish best practices to be widely applied across the group and all the sites services categories What we’re looking for from you: Ideallya degree calibre procurement professional with experience of working in an international environment The ideal candidate will have demonstrated their ability to act as a true procurement and business leader supported by excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A proven ability to: Lead a team of procurement professionals including creating team structure and focusing on team development Effective leader to deliver on departmental objectives Understand and deliver various management reports for Professional Services domain influence multi-functionally and at all levels within the organisation Manage team to effectively implement product and service changes when working with internal stakeholders Lead the team to develop and implement category strategies with internal stakeholders identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team Ability to ensure the team manage and undertake supplier relationship management across the supplier base Good understanding of professional services (including recruitment, consultancy, HR and contingent labour) the evolution of the category Working with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure the team align strategies to deliver business objectives. Creating and implementing supplier relationships to deliver new products and services to the business Ensuring the team are actively, Intelligently developing and deploying a range of sourcing strategies in cooperation with internal stakeholders Aggregating and coordinating requirements across MBDA UK (and, where appropriate, with MBDA shareholders) to ensure that we are able to optimise the MBDA positionOur Business: We respect new perspectives and experiences, and we value our collaborative ways of working.
