Laboratory Scientist- Central London (working on site), 6 month FTC, up to £64k/annum plus benefits!

My Client, a British artificial intelligence subsidiary of one of Big 4 tech companies, is looking for a Laboratory Scientist.

Responsibilities:

• Scientific and technical support of ongoing projects in the lab.
• Execution of research projects involving biochemical, biophysical and structural biology techniques
• Report and present research findings (including status and results) clearly and efficiently
• Work on experiments and document research conclusions
• Co-author scientific papers
• Develop research prototypes or conduct simulations.

Qualifications needed:

• Previous experience in protein biochemistry and structural biology (3+ years)
• Hands-on wet lab experience in molecular biology techniques, protein expression (eg E.coli, or yeast) and protein purification using AKTA systems
• Possess a foundational understanding of the research environment
• Ability to extract relevant information from reading code in one or more core languages and frameworks.
