Lead Network Security Engineer

Location: Manchester

Salary: £85-100K

We have a fantastic opportunity to lead the Network Security and Assurance team.

You will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our organisation’s network infrastructure. You will manage a team of network security professionals who run the various network security services across the group and work closely with other IT areas and suppliers to ensure compliance and assurance with security policies. You will also lead the teams journey towards automation and software engineering as Network Services transition to a new network architecture.

This is a senior-level position that requires a highly skilled and experienced network security professional who can lead a team of experts, ensure the security and integrity of the organization’s network infrastructure, and drive the journey towards automation and software engineering within the network security team. If you are passionate about network security and have a proven track record of success in this field, we encourage you to apply.

Essential skills:

• Lead network security experience
• Proven track record of successfully managing a team of network security professionals, coaching & mentoring
• In-depth knowledge of network security technologies
• Experience with security assessments, audits, and risk management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with software engineering practices and automation tools

Some of the other desirable experience that would be useful:

• Experience in improving vendor, supplier and customer relationships.
• Previous experience leading and nurturing teams
• Held previous roles in Data/Security with associated qualifications an advantage.

You’ll need excellent communications skills (presentation, written and oral), collaborating and influencing confidently and effectively at various levels.

We’ll want you to demonstrate a high level of drive and motivation, focusing energies on the things that really matter, with an ability to identify and help deliver improvements.

And we’ll be looking for your desire to grow own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities.
