Property Claims Best Practice Specialist
About the roleWe currently have a new opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Claims professional to join our Head Office function as a Best Practice Specialist. This is additional headcount for the team to support with the variety of exciting change and transformation we have on-going. The role forms part of our wider Head Office Claims function, who are responsible for setting and maintaining technical standards and developing our claims strategy.
As a Best Practice Specialist, you will work closely with various business areas to identify and lead improvements to customer service. We are renowned for exceptional customer experience and service, and this role will allow you to enhance this further and take it to new places by driving innovation in line with market developments. As well as customer service, you will also work to improve cost control and performance, suggesting ways of becoming smarter whilst keeping the heart of our service proposition in mind.
Additionally, you will produce guidance and training materials on claims handling processes and techniques for property claims in line with legislation and with Treating Customers Fairly principles, ensuring consistent interpretation and application across Head Office and operational claims teams. You will also represent the property claims function in business projects to ensure the implications of any wider changes are fully considered.About youThe successful candidate will be a forward-thinking and driven claims professional with technical claims knowledge (ideally within household or commercial). Partnered with this, you will have experience of driving improvements and change within a claims function which have successfully delivered both customer journey and cost benefits.
Communication is key to the success of this role, and so it is also important that you are able to demonstrate your ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and your confidence to influence and challenge at all levels where needed.
As we become more and more ‘data-savvy’, we are also looking for someone who has a passion for MI and analytics and making data-informed decisions.
