Your new company Your new company is a leading construction company specialising in high-quality refurbishment projects, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Freelance Project Manager to join their team in Penrith. This exciting opportunity involves managing a refurbishment project with facade replacement, which is currently at the final stages of fit-out and cladding.
Your new role Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the refurbishment project from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery within budget and agreed timelines. Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement proactive solutions to keep the project on track. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct regular site visits to inspect and assess work quality, providing guidance and support to the project team when necessary. Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and other relevant paperwork. Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or queries promptly.
What you’ll need to succeed Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically in refurbishment projects with facade replacement. Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide project teams towards successful project completion. Attention to detail and a focus on quality, ensuring workmanship and materials meet or exceed industry standards. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Relevant certifications or qualifications in project management or construction would be advantageous.
