The company is a technology leader in advanced composites, specialised in the industrialisation of engineering and manufacturing of durable fibre reinforced composites for Space, Aeronautics, Transport and Marine industries. The roleOur client are currently seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Technician Team Leader who will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations for the production of composite components. The successful candidate will report to and collaborate closely with the Production Manager and/or engineering managers and be expected to foster a quality-focused culture within the team.Key accountabilities
Compliance with following company health and safety policies and quality management procedures
Supervision and the manufacturing of complex composite products
Help the production manager efficiently organise the work schedule, while diligently identifying and reporting any issues with delivery or staffing levels.
Ensure that all necessary paperwork and records are generated, completed and stored according to company requirements. • Liaise with Engineering and/or Project Managers as necessary.
Ensure that employees under supervision receive the necessary training, tools, and facilities to perform their duties effectively.
Make sure production tasks are conducted according to agreed-upon procedures and timelines
Contribute recommendations to improve efficiency or technical solutions to benefit Airborne.
Identifying and proactively solving problems in the manufacture of products to optimise efficiency or technical solutions that benefit Airborne
Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility to create a safe work environment
Promptly completing all production timesheets to allow tracking of projects and progress.
Possessing general computer literacy skills that enable you to navigate and use relevant software programs like excel and word.
Skills & experience• Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline or proven experience working in composite manufacturing using prepreg and dry fibres.• Proven experience in leading a small team in a production environment.• Good computer literacy in programs like Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint• Ability to communicate well with others, both technical and non-technical.Company benefits:
