A key client of ours is looking for a contract Quality Engineer to join its team following a large period of growth. Responsibilities of this role include –

To help maintain the quality system on site, work on process development and scrap reduction.

Quality Engineer duties include –

• Review customer concerns, internal processes, and scrap rates.
• Work closely with all teams on site, to help ensure that the project requirements are in line with the internal Transition Process and document changes correctly.
• Investigate quality issues and produce written cause and corrective action responses.
• Apply the correct problem-solving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5Y.
• Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory standards are adhered to.
• Assist with providing technical support to staff and driving continuous improvement.

Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience –

• Relevant experience within the Automotive sector.
• Systems experience – IATF 16949.
• Ability to demonstrate the use of tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• IT literate and analytical mindset.
• Mechanical education (HNC/HND) / relevant Six Sigma training.
