Responsibilities of this role include –
To help maintain the quality system on site, work on process development and scrap reduction.
Quality Engineer duties include –
Review customer concerns, internal processes, and scrap rates.
Work closely with all teams on site, to help ensure that the project requirements are in line with the internal Transition Process and document changes correctly.
Investigate quality issues and produce written cause and corrective action responses.
Apply the correct problem-solving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5Y.
Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory standards are adhered to.
Assist with providing technical support to staff and driving continuous improvement.
Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience –
Relevant experience within the Automotive sector.
Systems experience – IATF 16949.
Ability to demonstrate the use of tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
IT literate and analytical mindset.
Mechanical education (HNC/HND) / relevant Six Sigma training.
