An internationally renowned, market leader in the composites industry is currently recruiting a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join its research and technology team on a permanent basis. As Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will play a lead role in providing technical expertise for global customers – which will focus on prepreg and liquid composite processes.
Senior Technical Support Engineer responsibilities
Take the lead role for technical projects at customers throughout the UK and Northern Europe.
Be the acknowledged expert in a specific composite field and to be the technical authority on a defined range of products and production processes, particularly for prepreg and liquid composite moulding (resin transfer moulding/resin infusion) processes.
Contribute to the strategic objectives of technical support and provide proactive technical support to internal and external customers, identifying key areas of work to maintain and grow the company’s position in the market.
Provide comprehensive and efficient technical support to the international-based material business, covering all aspects of products, processes and technical marketing communications as provided direct to customers, potential customers and internal staff.
Provide directly to aerospace customers, technical support and experienced expertise for the introduction of new products and technologies.
Senior Technical Support Engineer requirements
Degree-level qualification in Materials Science, Engineering or Chemistry.
Extensive experience working on composite material production and applications.
To operate effectively and contribute to marketing and business objectives, it is essential for the candidate to have a high level of team leading, organisation and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels of the organisation.
Good computer skills and experience in data analysis and reporting, including six sigma techniques, are required.
Ability to build working relationships with customers/partners.
