Macildowie are actively seeking a Project Manager for a well established business based in Derby.

Salary is based between £35,000 – £37,000 depending on experience.

Working hours – Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:30 and Friday 08:30 – 15:30.

Position Overview: As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and successfully delivering complex engineering projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, and clients, to ensure project milestones are achieved within budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the engineering sector, possess excellent leadership skills, and be passionate about driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project activities, including procurement, engineering design, manufacturing, and installation, to ensure seamless execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Regularly communicate project status, updates, and reports to senior management and clients.
• Manage client relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular project meetings, facilitate effective communication, and foster teamwork across project teams.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) are a plus.
