MacGregor Black is delighted to partner with an esteemed FMCG business in their search for a Finance Manager. This is a permanent position based in Cheshire.
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, analysing financial data, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of finance within the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the finance team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Develop and monitor financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), financial trends, and variances to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate and oversee financial audits and reviews, working closely with external auditors.
Provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and process improvements based on financial analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and sales, to align financial objectives with overall business goals.
Manage cash flow, financial risk, and investment strategies.
Monitor and analyse market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitors to identify opportunities and challenges.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
CIMA, ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar financial leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial regulations.
Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Experience in managing and leading a finance team.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
