Job Title: Teaching Assistant (1 Year temporary Contract)
An Independent School is seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. The Learning Support Department is commited to providing inclusive and empowering support for their students within the department. You will be working with an exceptional team who are qualified in teaching pupils with a range of SEND needs and work with the teaching team to ensure reasonable adjustments are made for students to reach their full potential.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the experienced and passionate teaching staff to provide support and guidance to the students. They will play a vital role in ensuring that the students receive the highest quality education and pastoral care.
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with planning and delivering lessons
Provide one-to-one support for students who require additional assistance
Help to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
Participate in extracurricular activities and events
Monitor student progress and report back to teachers
Deliver additional interventions to support students in and out of the classroom.
Support in wider school including going on trips or running clubs and supporting in exams
The school is looking for a candidate who:
Holds a degree in Education or a related field
Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Has a strong understanding of educational theory and practice
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Has a commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
