We are recruiting on behalf of a market leading company who design and manufacture bespoke products for their clients across the UK. The company have over 40 years’ experience in their sector and are a highly regarded, innovative organisation with tremendous care and attention for their employees. They are looking for a focussed and proactive Quality Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing a Quality Management System and quality team. A key feature of this role will be ensuring the delivery of all quality, approval, and compliance aspects of the business. Ideally you will have a background in engineering and have some previous leadership experience.
Key responsibilities and attributes of the Quality Manager will include:
Own and manage the QMS and quality team
Organise and run regular meetings
Provide insight and expertise on quality issues, at a senior management level, as required
Line management of Compliance and Approvals staff
Support the commercial team and represent the company in the field when required
Provide technical guidance to the Design departments regarding areas of compliance
Support the purchasing department, dealing directly with suppliers
Give appropriate training, if required, to other employees
Essential skills and experiences needed to succeed in this role:
Experience in a similar role
Ideally hold an Engineering or Quality qualification
Focussed and proactive
Attention to detail
QMS experience
Management experience
