I am currently working with the leading business membership organisation in disability inclusion. They are trusted partners, working with business, Government and disabled people to improve the life experiences of disabled employees and consumers, by removing barriers to inclusion.

They have recently developed a new digital strategy aimed at ensuring they become the sector-leading provider for digital information, resources and thought-leadership on accessibility and disability inclusion for businesses. They want their upgraded website to help them meet their vision and strategy, and to future-proof themseleves as they implement it.

Key responsibilities

• Manage third party web developers as per agreed brief and schedule to deliver website upgrade project. You will be the main point of contact throughout the project. [Tender process is currently underway to appoint developers.)
• Set up and manage a small internal project team to support delivery.
• Assist with user testing and manage accessibility testing throughout website development.
• Oversee population of website with existing and new content.
• Document post-live issues and manage implementation of third-party solutions.
• Initiate a number of other smaller digital projects including producing digital brief, project planning and definition of objectives, scope, purpose, deliverables and measurable benefits.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across BDF to allocate and monitor tasks and ensure the safe and timely delivery of all digital projects.
• Build productive relationships across the organisation, identifying and developing engagement opportunities with key stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are understood and accepted by all stakeholders.
• Identify, evaluate, record and communicate any risks to project delivery and implement procedures to avoid or minimise their impact.
• Manage project issues and resolve problems proactively, using diplomacy and tact to achieve outcomes whilst maintaining good working relationships.
• Report to our Head of Communications and Marketing and be supported on all digital projects by our Digital Product and Accessibility Officer (no line management responsibility).

Experience
Essential:

• Experience of being the lead Project Manager for end-to-end website build projects (A & I).
• Digital project management experience with outstanding project management skills including project definition, documentation, reporting and completion against milestones. (A, I & T)
• Experience of common project management tools (eg, Microsoft Project, Jira, etc) (A).
• Experience of managing content migrations. (A, I & T)
• Experience of launching websites with minimal disruption to users and traffic (A & I).
• Experience of setting up and running full UAT testing (A & I).
• Experience of managing the development of complex websites from start to finish (A & I).
• Experience of using WordPress CMS (A & I).

About contract

• 6 month FTC – possible extention
• £40K pro rata
• Remote
• 4 or 5 days a week
