Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant
Location: Bristol based plus remote working (2/3 day weekly rotation – All travel & accommodation expenses paid)
Rate/Salary: £300-600 per day inside or outside IR35 (dependent upon preference)
Duration: 12 months

The role:

Quarterly production of reporting pack for SLP and SFS.
Develop and enhance reporting pack to capture new reporting requirements.
Integrity of sub-ledgers.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Extensive and in-depth analysis of investment and insurance accounting transactions and balances (IFRS4).
Dealing with wide-ranging audit queries.
Monthly review and understanding of bank reconciliations in a range of formats.
Management reporting and variance analysis.
Assist in IFRS17 process.
Ad hoc finance work as required by Finance Manager.

The candidate:

A Qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Life Insurance background essential.
CASS knowledge advantageous.
IFRS17 process knowledge is a bonus.
Advanced Excel skills.
Understanding of interaction of the key finance systems advantageous – Pulse, Midas and SmartStream.
Ability to work on own with a practical, “can-do” attitude.
