Maintenance Stores Person

Bourne

Days (Monday – Friday)

£15 Per Hour

3 – 6 Month Contract

We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Stores Person to join a market leading manufacturer. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description:

• Ability to work with flexibility in order to complete ad-hoc duties when required
• Good engineering parts knowledge & recognition desirable
• The ability to liaise with people at all levels and to ensure delivery of work on time and to schedule;
• Competent user of IT software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Ability to carry out specific tasks with minimum of supervision;
• Negotiation and ordering of all engineering spare parts ensuring the most cost effective solution is achieved every time
• Carryout daily & weekly stock checks and addressing any issues arising from these
• Maintaining customer/supplier relationships at all times by adopting best practice ways of communicating
• Assist in the new design of Engineering Stores department
• Achieving required inventory accuracy levels through effective management, ordering and physical receipt on our Pirana CMMS system
• Driving departmental improvements and introducing new working practices to the benefit of the department

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience In Managing An Engineering Store
• Engineering Qualifications (NVQ/BTEC/C&G/HNC)
• FLT License
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and CMMS
• Manufacturing Industry Experience – Advantageous
