As a Senior Technician within our Construction, Engineering and Gas Assessment Centre, you will have the overall responsibility for the Curriculum Workshop areas which include Electrical Installation, Motor Vehicle/Cycle, Construction and Gas. You will supervise and lead a team of Technicians and Workshop Assistants to provide learners with relevant support to achieve their qualification. You will maintain a safe and efficient working environment that is conducive to effective learning.
As our Senior Technician, you will have a relevant academic or vocational qualification at Level 2 as a minimum and be able to develop a customer focused service. With excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a pressured environment, you will have experience of setting priorities and determining courses of actions for others whilst monitoring and evaluating progress and performance.
We’re looking for someone who has experience of making effective decisions and of managing and embedding systems, procedures and process compliance. You’ll have the ability to recruit, select and retain staff, whilst carrying out timely and effective appraisals. We also ask that you are able to write and review suitable and sufficient risk assessments and can demonstrate compliance, effectively auditing the management of Health & Safety and Safeguarding.
