We are looking for a Mechanical Services Manager for a long established and family owned Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Heating Contracting business close to the M60 in North East Manchester. They currently employ circa 45 people and are continuing to grow, hence they are looking to hire a Mechanical Services Manager to expand their Education, Commercial and Retail workstreams. They are looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering mechanical projects in multi-discipline building services schemes in refurbishment, asset renewal and new build, with a focus on Retail, Commercial, Education and Council workstreams who are hungry to develop their career. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful applicant will be experienced, personable and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Day to day duties will include: Accountability for the successful performance of the Mechanical Department Profit & Loss responsible Manage, guide and develop Mechanical staff and operatives Estimate, manage and deliver Mechanical projects Cost analysis and subcontracting Health and Safety of the Mechanical department Business development with new and existing clients Forward work/pipeline planning Monthly commercial reporting Development of the departmental business plan Financial control of projects managed The successful applicant will have: A minimum 5 years experience in the Mechanical Services Industry A minimum 2 years experience in a contracts management role C&G advanced level or NVQ level 3 in HVAC services or plumbing HNC (preferred) NEBOSH (preferred) CSCS, SMTS CAD experience Mechanical estimating and design knowledge Be approachable and accepts change Be proficient in MS Word, Excel & Outlook Simpro software (desirable) The company offer competitive remuneration (negotiable depending on experience) circa £50-£65k pa. plus bonus, a company car or allowance, a friendly and professional working environment, training when needed, pension and opportunities for advancement.
