The Opportunity: Finance Manager
We are looking for a Finance & Accounting leader to join our team and take charge of our Floor Room business unit. As the Finance Director’s right-hand person and reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for implementing best practices, providing analytical insights, and driving strategic financial leadership.
About The Opportunity:
Your primary focus will be on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, while also providing commercial and operational analytical insight. Additionally, you will be supporting our Group Finance Business Partnering team and ensuring that all areas of the business are making informed decisions that drive optimal financial performance.
As a key player in the success of our business, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive change across all areas of the Floor Room. We are looking for a strong leader who can deliver results and help us continue to grow and succeed.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position should be an experienced qualified accountant with a background in complex finance divisions, particularly in fast-moving, complex, and consumer-facing multi-site businesses. They should have at least 10 years of experience in finance-related roles, with extensive experience in managing senior stakeholders. Retail/FMCG experience is desirable. Additionally, the candidate should have advanced Excel skills, strong systems experience, and experience presenting complex data to non-financial audiences.
The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to spot trends, investigate and make independent recommendations. They should also be able to work alongside and challenge senior management, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and work independently while being a strong team player. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate and interpret data to non-finance professionals, work at a fast pace and under pressure, be positive and self-motivated, manage multiple and varied tasks, and prioritize workload with attention to detail. They should be able to step into the detail while also thinking strategically, simplify complex problems, and be resilient and optimistic.
