We re looking for an apprentice to join our sales team and develop into a Trade Counter Sales professional. As part of your development, you ll undertake level 2 Trade Supplier. After the 3-year programme, you will be a fully-fledged sales executive and you ll be encouraged to plan the next steps of your career journey with us. The programme will include regular training and development events with other apprentices from across the business to support your personal development. You ll have regular structured feedback sessions, and you will be assigned your own buddy to help you settle into your day-to-day role. Role Overview Working with the Branch Manager you will be part of a team delivering new business sales and existing customer account development which will be beneficial and profitable to the branch. Your role will rely heavily on your teamwork and communication skills as you ll be providing excellent service in a customer facing role. To start with you will be learning the ropes and your duties will develop as your skills do. We aim to have you up and running as quickly as we can, as we know that job satisfaction comes from having responsibility and autonomy, but you ll never be left without as much support as you need. Responsibilities Our sales teams help customers choose the right products and solutions for their needs. You ll need to be confident both face to face and on the telephone and have a good eye for detail to process accurate sales and quotes. Sales excellence is about balancing the customer s needs with maintaining margin, volume and profit and you ll develop sales skills to achieve this. Regularly engaging with colleagues, warehouse and credit control teams, you ll be expected to forge strong working relationships with all customers.
