Hunter AHP have a brilliant opportunity for an Aseptic/Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician to join an esteemed department in the Birmingham area. The Chief Pharmacist is looking for a technician with prior NHS trials experience to join the team on a full-time locum basis. This is a minimum 6-month contract, with likelihood to extend beyond that as this is a long-standing gap within the department.

The main duties of the role will involve the set-up & maintenance of clinical trials within the department as per NHS England guidleines. The post holder will be expected to dispense medicines used in clinical trials and work along the wider research team, including doctors & nurses. Directly responsible to the lead clinical trials pharmacy technician, the objective within this post is to ensure that the dispensary trials service runs as efficiently as possible. Knowledge & experience of aseptic preparation of medicines is necessary to apply for this position as the position is working across both areas mentioned above.

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST be GPhC registered to apply for this position & successful applicants will have prior clinical trials experience within the NHS.

Locum Band 5/6 Pharmacy Technician

£18-23 per hour depending on experience

Ongoing contract with 1/2 week notice period
