Support the Group Tax team in delivering tax reporting for the group – principally corporate tax returns and tax numbers for entity statutory accounts. They’d welcome anyone with a basic tax understanding but with more skills with finance systems and excel.

Is a leading independent insurance distribution platform and a top 20 broker globally.

Description

This is an operational role which will assist the UK Tax Managers in the delivery of 300-400 tax returns and statutory accounts for the company.

Basic accounting skills and understanding of tax concepts are required rather than high-level expertise. The primary objectives are to deliver some of the groups more simple tax returns and to ensure that tax system data is up-to-date.

The business operates a process-driven, work flow environment. The ability to work in a standardised way and deliver significant volumes are essential.

Profile

• UK GAAP tax accounting experience
• Understanding of basic corporate tax concepts
• Practical experience and proficiency with finance compliance and reporting systems (ideally Alphatax)
• Advanced Excel skills in order to manipulate significant volumes of data
• Tax and/or accountancy qualifications are preferred but not essential
