Office Administrator and Events Assistant, an excellent opportunity to join a National Social Welfare Charity, based in the Camberley office.
Working with the Regional Director – South-East, as the Office Administrator and Events Assistant you will work as part of a small regional fundraising team, responsible for the day-to-day running of South-East Regional Office and pride Events support to the team. You will support across areas such as:
Provide general office administrative, database and accounting support to the regional office.
Respond to telephone enquiries and act as the primary contact to supporters and volunteers.
Receive and dispatch mail, maintain stationery supplies to ensure a smooth running office.
Assist the team with engagement activities, regional fundraising, developing volunteer fundraising and assisting with the delivery of fundraising events.
Support volunteers, and act as the primary Point of Contact for new volunteers.
Handle supporter information, input, maintain and amend data within the charity database.
Ensure all supporter-entries are correctly coded and updated as needed.
Monitor income and expenditure, working closely with the Finance Dept and Director.
Account for all donations received; cash and cheques received, pay-in to Bank Account. Pay all approved invoices.
This is a great role for an experienced administrator who enjoys working on events and within the charity sector. You will have experience, skills and knowledge of:
Strong administrative, office support, database and basic accounting skills required to support a wide range of office administration support.
Experience of supporting with events and working with volunteers OR a strong interest and passion for these areas.
Well-developed communication, literate and numerate skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to be flexible with working patterns, out of hours and weekend working, particularly during the summer event season. Time off in lieu (TOIL) is available to be claimed.
Driving licence is essential.
An understanding of the military environment and/ or charity sector is desirable, though not essential.
