The successful applicant will have a nationally recognised HLTA qualification eg one assessed by the HLTA National Assessment Partnership . They will have the ability to understand and recognise desired outcomes of lesson plans and an understanding of a range of strategies to establish a purposeful learning environment and to promote good behaviour. They will also be able to interest, motivate and advance the learning of students using clearly structured teaching and learning activities. Specialist skills/training in a curriculum or learning area (eg Science, English) would be desirable and successful candidates should have sufficient understanding of a defined specialist area to support students’ learning and an ability to acquire further knowledge to contribute effectively and with confidence to the classes in which they are involved.We would welcome applications from exceptional people who can make an integral contribution to Uxbridge High School.
