Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Southwark – September start
Remedy Education are looking for a ambitious Psychology Graduate with a passion for supporting SEN to work as a Teaching Assistant in an Oustanding Primary school?
The role is more specifically working with groups of pupils with varying learning ability and special educational needs. The schools are committed to pupil and teacher development, with track records of supporting graduates through teacher training applications. This opportunity is not to be missed for someone looking to kickstart their career in Education Psychology or a PGCE in the future.
Position Details:
Location – Southwark
Position – Graduate Teaching Assistant
Type of work – General Teaching Assistant work with small groups of young pupils
Contract or position start date – September 2023
Duration / Likely Duration – End of the academic year
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary
Full time/part time – Full time
Pay – minimum of £85 – £95 per day
Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
Experience of supporting pupils
The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential
The ability to build rapports with the pupils supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor
Role Requirements:
Psychology (BA Hons) degree
DBS (clean and relevant) – Can be obtained through Remedy Education
Safeguarding certificate
A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships
Desirable:
Good knowledge of different forms of SEN.
