Job title: Network Field Engineer

Location: Hampshire/Travel required across various UK sites

DV Security Clearance is required for this role

I am looking for a Network Field Engineer for a client of mine who are an IT Systems Integrator operating within the UK defence sector. The role involves travelling to various sites in the UK and also provides the opportunity to potentially work abroad.

Your role

• As a Network Engineer you will be part of the Delivery Team and will liaise with the current SMEs for Networking, Infrastructure, Applications and Security as required.
• As a Network Engineer will have a wealth of experience on larger or more complex solutions, demonstrating an understanding of the customers’ business and commercial issues.
• You will identify, design, and deliver larger or complex solutions to meet challenging requirement.

Experience Required:

• As a Network Field Engineer you will focus on Network Physical design, including Survey Design and Design Approval.
• Completing Logical designs/Bill of Material using build guides and Work instruction.
• Configuration of Juniper and Catapan networks.
• As a Network Field Engineer you will have hands on experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Juniper and Catapan networks.
• 3rd Line support in fault finding and resolution of Customer equipment.
• Customer focus with site surveys for new installation.
• Cisco Network, WAN experience.
