Risk Specialist – C# and Python Developer

Job Summary

Join us in the Lloyds Banking Market & Liquidity Risk Platforms team where you’ll apply your expertise, including c#, sql server & python, to deliver and support technical solutions to build business functionality and robust automation for internal applications, so we can support the teams regulatory, operational and analytical deliverables.

About the role

• End to end development and delivery (across all of dev-uat-prod) – Design, deliver, and support internally developed applications, robust technical solutions and automation to requirements and in collaboration with business users. Recommend solution options where appropriate

• Conduct research into new solutions and prototype new ideas within organisational framework

• Analyse specified problems and issues, providing expert solution diagnosis, maximising your individual skills and team collaboration

• Develop product specifications and accompanying testing procedures and standards

• Support change planning with project colleagues and ensure controlled change delivery through managed processes

• Develop the capabilities of the team and provide specialised training or coaching to others in your area of expertise

Key Skills Required

Essential

• Python, SQL Server, c# (all required)

• Working experience with DevOps and change tools for dev-uat-prod build and deployment

• Experience with software development lifecycle and agile delivery methods

• Risk knowledge, with experience in market and / or counterparty risk

• Growth mindset, able to demonstrate effectiveness in learning and applying new skills

• Strong problem solving skills and good at information sharing and up-skilling others

Desirable

• JavaScript

• Experience migrating excel into python-based applications

• Communicate effectively, delivering complex information simply and concisely

• Knowledge of Tableau and experience building and delivering reports using business intelligence technologies will be beneficial

• Capable of delivering solution both collaboratively and independently when required

• Strong partner management
