We have currently have three exciting new roles that works within the DBS Service Management Office;-
1. Supplier Performance manager
The Job Holder will be accountable for ensuring Suppliers deliver against their contractual service obligations and service levels on behalf of the DBS Service Management Office.
The Job Holder will be the primary escalation point for 3rd Party IT Suppliers for your product area at a senior level.
The Job Holder will build relationships with suppliers and will deliver supplier management plans that comply with the organisation’s Supplier Management Framework, which deliver value for money by taking responsibility for the management of the organisation’s suppliers and ensure reporting and supplier performance data is robust and accurate.
The Job Holder is responsible for actively managing a supplier portfolio ensuring all Supplier Management activities are completed on time, actions are tracked, any required contract changes requests are shared with the commercial team and are agreed and documented and accurate timely reporting is provided.
Job Holder will provide advice and guidance to all Service Tower Suppliers for compliance, assurance, improvement and collaboration activities in line with DBS Standards
The Job Holder will identify and manage the co-ordination of remediation and improvement activities for Tower suppliers in relation to DBS services.
The Job Holder will govern collaboration required to deliver DBS IT Services between different suppliers.
The Job Holder will manage complex working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and manage supplier performance risk.
The Job Holder will be producing and acting upon supplier management information, including Service Levels, performance KPIs and Performance reports to continually improve service quality.
The Job Holder will be monitoring the effectiveness of the IT Suppliers and making recommendations for improvement and cost saving initiatives where possible.
2.Technical Process Owner
The Job Holder will be responsible for all Technical processes and standards such as Demand, IT Service Asset & Configuration, Service Continuity, Availability and Capacity Management for DBS Service Management Office.
The Job Holder will be the primary escalation point for business users and 3rd Party Suppliers the Process Control services at a senior level.
The Job Holder will support and develop the introduction of the Service Management Technical Processes for ITSM, Capacity Management and Availability services.
The Job Holder will build relationships with suppliers, and ensure Technical services are delivered to DBS are timely, robust and provide value for money. The role will develop the processes and support the creation of the underpinning artefacts produced by the supply chain.
The Job Holder will be producing and acting upon supplier management information, including Availability and Capacity performance KPIs and reports to continually improve service quality.
The Job Holder will be monitoring the effectiveness of IT Service Continuity and making recommendations for improvement and scheduling with the DBS IT Service Suppliers. The Job Holder will track and manage any improvements identified to deliver IT Service Continuity. This may include the tracking of change scheduling of IT Service Continuity Tests and any identified Actions. They will be expected to communicate plans and coordinate any supplier involvement as required.
The Job Holder will own develop and deliver the processes involved in operating Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), Availability, Demand and Capacity Management this will also include tools required.
The Job Holder will develop the Service Asset and Configuration management service and ensure it is delivered by the IT Suppliers in line with DBS requirements.
The Job Holder will develop the Demand, Capacity and Availability Services and ensure it is delivered by the IT Suppliers in line with DBS requirements.
The Job Holder will Support and Coordinate with its service suppliers and wider Service Management Office team members, any issues that impact or may impact the Availability and Capacity of the DBS IT Services.
The Job Holder will share Technical Control Process practices with the wider service management team, to ensure knowledge is shared across the team.
The Job Holder will be required to work flexible shift patterns and provide cover for holidays and short events.
3.Change Release Manager
Service Management Office provides effective service design, on-boarding preparation and acceptance, transition into production through robust build-release-change processes, service and system monitoring and customer focused operations and support functions.
The Senior Service Delivery Manager Change & Release is an exciting new role that works within the DBS Service Management Office
The Job Holder will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of both the Change and Release processes. This will include assessing all Change and Release documentation submitted to ensure they meet quality requirements and liaise with requestors, Supplier Change Managers and Project Managers if additional information is required.
The Job Holder will be the key point of contact for coordination / management of Change and Release processes within applicable toolsets (ServiceNow, SBM, JIRA etc).
The Job Holder will review submitted Changes and Releases. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders, perform scheduling checks for BAU release management working with Service Transition team for fulfilment.
The Job Holder will Maintain working documentation for Change and Release Management processes and manage updates to the Change and Release Calendars
The Job Holder will Chair and Coordinate CAB meetings, including all relevant stakeholders for meeting. Distribute agenda and taking minutes when required.
The Job Holder will be expected to follow up on outstanding Changes and Releases, enforcing Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) for all changes not implemented successfully, when required.
The Job Holder will complete risk assessment and ensure there are no conflicts with scheduling of technical changes and releases from internal DBS IT teams and IT Suppliers.
The Job Holder will own, define, manage and improve Change and Release Management policies, processes and supporting documentation as the service matures.
The Job Holder will ensure Change Advisory Board (CAB) has appropriate IT Supplier membership and will manage, update and share and process documentation and terms of reference as required.
The Job Holder will support the wider IT teams and the IT Suppliers to remediate actions and outcomes where failures or issues occur with changes that have been delivered. This will include any changes that are required to process to ensure no reoccurrence of similar failures.
The Job Holder will understand and manage Suppliers Change and Release Management services and ensure they meet the requirements of DBS in line with contractual agreements.
The Job Holder will continually evaluate and develop the Change & Release process to evolve and improve the processes in line with business requirement.
The Job Holder will share Change and Release practices with the wider service management team, to ensure knowledge is shared across the team.
As part of this role you will be required to work flexible shift patterns and provide cover for holidays and short events.
Corporate Duties for all roles;-
The Job Holder should be able to provide cover for all aspects of the operation of the Change and Release management processes.
Adhere to Change and Release Management processes and policy.
Understand and acknowledge the inter-dependencies between Change and Release management.
The Role holder may be required to support or cover for other SDM roles within the Service Management Office.
The Job Holder should: –

Previous experience of operating both Change and Release Management processes.
Previous experience of working closely with Digital Development teams and project managers to understand and define their requirements from a Change and Release perspective.
Demonstrable experience in all areas of responsibility stated above, with focus on high volume of change in a busy highly regulated environment
Service management frameworks such as ITIL
Common service management platforms such as Remedy and ServiceNow.
Understanding of IT and technology.
