Accounts Assistant £23,000 – £25,000 Ashton-in-Makerfield, 35 hours per week Your new companyOur client is a market leader in their field with their UK Head Office based in Ashton. They are a retail vending organisation and customers include supermarket chains as well as the major oil companies. They employ over 50 staff in the Uk and a further 70 nationwide.Your new roleThe role is based in the Accounts Department where there are 16 staff. The role will be supporting the Credit Control and Revenue team, this is a varied role working within a busy finance team providing primary support for Credit Control / Sales Ledger duties and assisting with contactless (card payments) purchase portal. The role will involve: Recording of daily cheques and posting to the sales ledger. Reviewing Sales Contracts and verifying the information provided. Account reconciliation. Chasing of outstanding debtor balances by telephone & letter. Investigating and resolving queries. Raising of credit notes and manual invoices. Processing monthly rental and token share invoicing. Processing the monthly debtor statement run & Direct Debit run. Providing information as required for internal and external customers. Investigating and processing contactless refunds via NAYAX and other contactless processing. Processing monthly rental and share invoices. Updating the operational database with machines movements and/or changes. Ad-hoc additional work and filing as required. This may be for self-initiated work or otherwise.What you’ll need to succeedYou will have extensive experience of working in an accounts or finance department and possess high quality, accurate & timely reconciliation skills. You will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to investigate complex & challenging queries by delving into detail and recording the findings and will operate with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, take clear and decisive action to resolve the errors but will escalate when necessary, employ excellent time management skills and have proficient excel skillsWhat you’ll get in return20 days holiday per annum, excluding Bank Holidays.
