Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Agile Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £400/day (outside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.
The Business Analyst role will support the definition and rollout of a number of initiatives in the Corporate (Finance/Procurement) acting as the bridge between IT and Business with an emphasis to driving efficiencies and developing robust systems and processes through an exciting array of system automation and development projects across the organisation and to support wider transformation outcomes.
The role of Agile BA will cover: Business Analysis and Persona Definition; AS-IS & TO-BE Process/Service Definition; Capability, EPIC, Feature & User Story Definition
Service ongoing Scrum Team analysis requirements, option appraisal and prototype storyboarding
The role would suit someone with previous experience as a business analyst or systems accountant with a genuine interest in the technical aspects of financial systems development.
This is very much a project based role so would suit someone with previous experience of finance systems initiative, implementations or projects.
Demonstrable experience gained in a Financial environment for example System Accountancy
Proven track record in business analysis within an agile/digital environment
Demonstrable experience of business change methodologies and processes including eg Persona definition, Agile User Stories
Confidence in facilitating cross-functional collaborations to draw out requirements and prototype solutions
Experience of challenging the norm and being part of successful agile transformation
Proven capability in gathering and documenting complex high and low level requirements
Confidence in creating detailed process maps using industry standard techniques
Strong capability in business impact assessments & analysis across multiple business streams
Excellent inter-personal skills, coupled with strong influencing abilities and a can do attitude to keep focused on delivering the right business outcome
Ability to deliver high quality results and make decisions, within tight timescales whilst working under pressure and dealing with ambiguity
