About Iris Through experience and customer research, Crocus found out that even experienced gardeners still felt gardening could be intimidating and that they were looking for more guidance. In 2021 we launched our own free gardening app, Iris, whose mission is to help people become better gardeners. Packed with twenty years of our knowledge and experience, Iris is our platform to communicate with customers and support them on their growing journey. Users can ask questions to a Crocus Plant Doctor, post photos to the community, get monthly care tips on their orders, find gardens to visit near them and read articles to inspire them. As the only app to be built by a plant nursery and the only one where users can identify and shop plants, Iris holds a unique position within the marketplace. About the role As App Marketing & Content Manager, you will be overseeing the next exciting phase of Iris development; community growth and engagement. You will define the app s marketing strategy, aligned to the product roadmap and overall business objectives. Working with the wider Crocus Marketing Team to ensure Iris is both a loyalty tool for Crocus customers and acquisition channel for new Crocus audiences. Job Description Your primary focus will be to set the acquisition strategy for new Iris users, who are either not aware of Crocus or not yet a Crocus customer. Be responsible for delivering quality growth, ensuring the acquisition strategy is supported by a community engagement strategy that results in loyal app users. Work closely with the Crocus marketing Team to present Iris as a loyalty tool to Crocus customers and that the app is properly presented across Crocus touchpoints. Devise strategies for improving the Lifetime Value of the customer, by turning Iris app users into Crocus fans. Work closely with the Marketing Team to support their Content Roadmap and oversee the application of content within the app. Giving feedback and editing content where appropriate based on your app audience insights. Own and understand the Iris audience, giving feedback to stakeholders on audience trends, cohort analysis and user data. Oversee the product roadmap, providing direction and constantly prioritising based on the business s needs and customer insights. Where relevant, conducting consumer research to discover future product improvements. Be responsible for the successful day to day running of the app, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to budget Report to stakeholders on a regular basis on both app marketing strategies and app community engagement and management. Who we are looking for Proven 2-4 years experience working as a Marketing Manager or relevant marketing experience B2C app experience from any consumer sector such as retail, eCommerce, fintech, edtech, proptech, healthtech, gaming, travel, media, etc Strong leadership and communication skills, an ability to work independently Excellent in project management and attention to detail Interest in gardening a plus
