My client, a major telecommunications contractor is looking to bring on a permanent Assistant Project Manager to work in thier London Rail division. This role will include assistant 7 Project Manages across multiple contracts across assett management, kit upgrades, comms refreshes and some new install works.
The main requirement for this role is experience working in the rail industry. My client is open to taking on a civil engineer, electrical or mechanical engineer who is willing to learn about telecoms on the job.

Supporting project delivery functions including project management and liaise with technical design, programme planning, pre-build and testing, installation, commissioning, and site handover;
Supporting the delivery of the capital works projects, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and has achieves the agreed client acceptance criteria;
Managing internal processes in line with Principal Contractor requirements;
Ensure information regarding the programme forecast is communicated within different business functions to enable appropriate resource to meet requirements;
Provide support to the Senior Project Manager in the monitoring, control and performance review through regular meetings with all stakeholders and client;
Ensuring strict financial controls processes are followed;
Ensures compliance of contracts, Quality, H&S and the Customer’s environmental standards and
Seeks continuous improvement of the network through the introduction of new and innovative solutions;
Support the implementation and maintenance of the programme structure, including the allocation of resources, capabilities and appropriate governance mechanisms to meet the programme objectives;
Compilation of information for inclusion in the Management information reporting and governance for all projects within area;
Managing risk throughout the programme;
Ensuring that all project materials and documentation are produced to a high standard,
Ensures accuracy and integrity of network related configuration data to support seamless handover to maintenance based on ITIL principlesCandidate Requirements:
Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Previous experience working on station refurbishment contracts
