A Major House Builder in the region is looking to add an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to their team due to their increasing success and pipeline this year so far.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in their development projects. Working alongside an experienced team of Quantity Surveyors, you will assist in the efficient management of costs and contracts throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation and analysis of tenders, contracts, and procurement activities.
Conducting cost estimation, value engineering, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Collaborating with project teams to monitor and report on cost variations and forecasts.
Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of subcontractor packages and payments.
Supporting the resolution of commercial and contractual issues to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with company procedures and relevant industry standards.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as MS Excel, cost estimating software, and computer-aided design (CAD) programs.
A proactive and results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
