Our well established banking litigation team in Bristol have an opportunity for an ambitious Associate.
About the role
Our highly regarded banking litigation team has an opening for an experienced Junior Associate. This is a great opportunity to work for key clients including the Royal Bank of Scotland plc. You will primarily assist with and in time manage small claims and fast track litigation in relation to payment protection insurance including drafting pleadings and evidence, advocacy at interlocutory hearings and assisting Counsel at trial, together with billing and reporting to clients in relation to those matters. As you progress, you may also assist with larger litigations in our wider team.
You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiative and must be used to dealing with a large workload therefore using your strong organisational skills.
You will also be working with a team of colleagues as well as dealing on a daily basis with both clients and opponents and must, therefore, have an ability to liaise with people on different levels.
You should have a strong academic background and experience within a Private Practice Litigation team is essential.
Experience of drafting pleadings and evidence, and of advocacy, would be an advantage.
This role will suit a keen team player who is willing to use their own initiative.
