REED Education are very proud to have secured an opportunity to be on the PSL for Aurora. Aurora is National provider of Special Educational Needs for young people from the ages of 5-19.

Aurora Cedars School is a brand-new specialist independent day school offering academic and therapeutic provision for students with additional, social emotional and mental health needs. The school prides itself in providing a nurturing environment alongside an enriching curriculum to ensure students have the best possible chance at success.

Situated approximately 2 miles to the west of Wolverhampton city Centre, Aurora Cedars provide specialist tailored academic and therapeutic support in a calm and nurturing environment for students aged 5-19 who. The students have a range of differing special needs including, autism, communication and behaviour challenges and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Aurora Cedars is looking for several SEMH specialist Teaching Assistants to join them from September 2023. The school is looking for temporary and permanent members of staff to join with them.

The Candidate

Aurora Cedars is looking for inspirational candidate who will make a positive impact on the lives of young people. You will form relationships with staff and students but also with the wider community. You will use innovative methods of engaging young people in learning, you will exhibit a calm and caring demeanour. In return the school will invest in the right candidate, the school will pay for training as you earn and for the right candidate(s) the training could also lead to gaining Qualified Teacher Status.

To be successful for this role you will need.

• Level 2 or 3 qualification (desirable)
• A passion for improving the outcomes of young people with SEMH needs.
• A caring and calm demeanour
• Be able to form positive relationships.
• Understand Special Educational Needs
