JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Software Business Analyst to join our eCommerce Marketing team!

As an IT Software Business Analyst you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting technical requirements, collaborating with software development teams, and ensuring that software projects meet business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, data analysis, project management and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders within the business.

We can offer hybrid working with part of the week working at the Next Head Office in Leicestershire and part of the week working remotely.

About the role

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document software requirements.
• Translate technical requirements into clear, concise and comprehensive documentation.
• Work with development teams to ensure software development aligns with business requirements.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to optimise software performance, usability and maintainability.
• Develop test cases and testing plans to ensure software quality and usability.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops with development teams and stakeholders.
• Create project plans and manage project progress through the software development lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Present to stakeholders, engaging and managing their expectations.
• Conduct post-project reviews and recommend process improvements.

About you

• 3+ years of experience as an IT Software Business Analyst or related role.
• Hands-on experience of business analysis within retail, having worked in the digital / ecommerce sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical requirements.
• Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.
• Familiarity with software development tools, such as Azure Devops
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
