PositionDescription
The role holder will be responsible for the identification,development, and successful closure of strategic new businesswithin CGIs Secure Platform Systems Sector. He/she will manageexisting accounts and identify and create new business revenuegrowth with clients and run strategic campaigns into nominatedhigh-growth areas as appropriate. He/she will be part of thebusiness area leadership team and will support the design andimplementation of a focused go-to-market strategy to include thetarget client, propositions, contact plan and win strategy. The jobholders performance will be measured primarily against objectivesbased on the value of opportunities won each year as well asdelivery against in-year revenue and margins for new business won.
Yourfuture duties andresponsibilities
Define, develop, and own key target customer relationships andcustomer contact strategy within DE&S DSTL, UKHO and the RoyalNavy with an aim to expand out into new Maritime areas exploitingCGIs existing capabilities.
Engage early in the businessdevelopment cycle with senior level customer representatives toinfluence strategy and increase the chance of both qualifying forand winning new business.
Position CGI and create theopportunity to differentiate.
Successfully qualifyopportunities early in the bid cycle and to minimise bid costs byensuring efficient use of resources and a focus on bids where theprobability of success is high.
Understand customerbusiness issues and align/help CGI develop appropriatepropositions.
Build and develop account plans and winplans.
Develop relationships with key partners that willassist in business growth.
Deliver both the sales andin-year revenue targets set each year.
Work closely withthe Sector leadership team to communicate new business activity,pipelines, and forecasts.
Requiredqualifications to be successful in thisrole
Qualities and experience to be successful in this role:
Self-sufficient and results driven, excited by the prospect ofplaying an important role in growing the business.
Anumber of years of business development / sales experience, ideallywithin a Defence/Maritime orientated IT Services Company.
Proven track-record of achieving new business objectives anddelivering profitable business outcomes.
Good leadershipskills in managing, motivating and coaching.
Strongpresentation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Goodunderstanding of the UK MoD / Royal Navy, experience of doingbusiness with these clients and of their capabilities andambitions.
UK National Security Clearance isrequired. Travel between Bristol/Chippenham and other CGI andClient offices isexpected.
