Business Office Accounts Assistant Finance/Accounts/Administration £24k plus excellent benefits Bristol Permanent – Full-Time Spire Bristol Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join the team. The purpose of this role is to process and input routine financial transactions accurately and within defined timescales. Also to help the hospital achieve and exceed its business volume targets and improve the customer experience by helping establish and embed good processes, delivering against these effectively and efficiently and ensuring accuracy in all tasks. Duties and responsibilities; – To ensure all billing is actioned promptly and accurately in line with Spire procedure identifying billing problems, placing billing alerts, suspending and clearing as required. – To establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. – Support the completion of Bank Reconcilations – Collecting payments for upcoming outpatient procedures – Daily maintenance of the departmental shared mailbox – Support the department to achieve KPI targets – manage unbilled report, resolve patient invoice queries – Adhoc cashiering & posting entries to the accounting systems according to work instructions. – Adhoc processing of standard supplier invoices, consultant fees and patient refunds. – To review and take appropriate action for overdue local plan debt – To call off daily and monthly reports and action them accordingly to specified work instructions – Undertake payment collection for self-funding surgical procedures – Shared responsibility for incoming calls. – Providing cover within the team where and when required Who we’re looking for; – Good communication skills – written, verbal and strong interpersonal. – Knowledge of SAP and wider hospital processes is an advantage.
