Business Support Officer Learning & Development Full Time, Permanent £21,575 – £23,194 per annum (Pay award pending for 1 April 2023 onwards) Based: Oakwell House, Barnsley / Hybrid Working We have an exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly, and forward-looking Human Resources team in this well -respected, award-winning organisation managing a £10 billion pension fund. What you’ll be doing: You ll provide administrative support to the HR team with a focus on supporting learning and development activity undertaken by employees within the organisation, and you will carry out a range of functions including keeping accurate records, researching and organising training activities, supporting development events and developing our offer through the LinkedIn Learning platform used within the organisation. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your experience too in a range of transactional HR activities, particularly in relation to recruitment and selection and employee on-boarding activity. This team is located within the Resources department which provides all of the corporate support for the organisation and where we are strongly committed to continuous improvement and strive for excellence in everything we do. What you’ll be able to offer: You will be enthusiastic and will demonstrate a keen interest in and commitment to supporting learning and development as well as wider HR work. You ll need to be highly organised and with previous experience of working in an office dealing with employee-related tasks and / or learning and development, HR, Organisational Development or similar. You ll also demonstrate: Education to Level 2 or 3 qualification standard or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level. Great communication skills and the ability to work with others to achieve objectives and provide excellent customer service. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inputting and reporting of data. Confidence and skills in using a range of IT applications.
