Buyer – 6 MTH FTC

A successful engineering business require a Buyer. Applicants need purchasing experience as a Buyer within manufacturing or engineering and be comfortable reading/purchasing from technical drawings.

The Buyer will join a team of Buyers reporting to a Procurement Manager. The focus of the role will be on operational procurement tasks, driving the supply chain against OTD/OTIF metrics.

Specific duties of the Buyer include:

• Purchasing materials, services, components in-line with MRP requirements
• Analyse procurement department data to make decisions
• Ensure material flow to the production lines in-line with demand
• Supplier Management and Development activities
• Reading technical drawings

Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering, as a Buyer or Senior Buyer
• Supplier Management experience
• MRP/ERP literate
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• OK with FTC with scope for extensions/perm employment
