The Children’s Hospital Charity
A rare opportunity has arisen to become the Director of the region’s leading children’s charity, The Children’s Hospital Charity. The successful candidate will lead the charity into the next stage of its development by elevating it to a national level, raising vital funds for projects including a new cancer ward, and a new Major Trauma unit including an emergency helipad.
Established in 1976 to help children’s health care go above and beyond the world class NHS provision provided by Sheffield Children’s NHS FT, the charity exists to fund new facilities, research, medical equipment and an engaging environment for all who visit.
Every day brings new challenges at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Every day, over 790 seriously ill children from across the UK arrive for treatments at the hospital. Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. And every day, some of the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world.
Established 72 years before the NHS, from the start Sheffield Children’s Hospital has depended on the generosity of the community to develop its services and be the very best it can be.
