We are working exclusively with the UK’s leading manufacturer of its product.The role:CNC Grinder Are you a CNC Grinder that has worked in Manufacturing and looking for a new challenge?A fantastic opportunity has become available for a CNC Grinder to join a well-known Manufacturing business in Sheffield.Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30-16.00 (can be flexible) Hourly Rate: £18.82Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines (including automatic loaders and robots) to precision grind / regrind specialist rotary cutting tools to specification. Efficient and effective use of spindle, employing loader / robot to ensure maximum production time is constantly achieved. Competently interpret technical drawing and ensure correct program is used to produce components as specified on the job card. Application of surface speed / cutting speed formulae. Verify dimension / features of components for accuracy and conformance to specification using a variety of precision measuring equipment. Maintain components within specification by observing, checking, measuring and troubleshooting the processes; adjusting / editing program / controls whilst adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Report any deviations from specification to Team Leader, Supervisor, Production Manager or a member of the Quality team. Record all scrap / non-conforming components. Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance routines / requirements as determined by the machine manufacturer and, or Maintenance and Facilities Manager. Report all other machine defects / maintenance issues to Maintenance Department through eMaint (software). Housekeeping – daily / regular cleaning of CNC machinery, work equipment and work area, ensuring all equipment is available to operators at all times and soiled rags / paper towels are regularly disposed of ensuring that the area is a safe working environment and that high levels of cleanliness and orderliness are sustained. Provide training and support in machine use and product knowledge for colleagues. Ensure excellent cooperation between the team by documenting and communicating any actions, problems, irregularities, opportunities for improvement and continuing needs.Skills & Experience: Apprentice trained Working to tight tolerances and working under pressure Communication skills Produce quality products, adheres to quality procedures Understanding of mathematics for engineers (trigonometry) Understanding of tooling application Customer focused IT literate CNC Machining (Walter / ANCA machines) Walter Helicheck Robots CNC programming (Walter, ANCA, Numroto)If this sounds like a role you could excel in, and want to join a large, stable organisation then please press apply!
