CNC Machinist – Setter required for my client who work within the laser cutting systems industry, who are located in Prestwick, Ayr.

The successful CNC machinist – setter will assist in the independent set-ups, fixturing, operation and troubleshooting on VMCs. They will also review drawings, specfications or sample parts to determine the sequence od operations and set up requirements.

CNC Machinist – Setter Position Overview and Requirements

• Independent setup, fixturing, operation and troubleshooting on VMC.
• Review of drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine the sequence of operations and set up requirements.
• Conducting dimensional FAI using callipers, gauges and micrometres.
• Working directly with team members to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Liaising with design to prioritise tasks and optimise work output within time constraints.
• Applying principles of continuous improvement to improve quality, shorten setup, and run times.
• Adhering to company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.

CNC Machinist – Setter Position Remuneration

• Salary – £13phr to £15phr – dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
• Full time position.
• 32-day holiday package including bank holidays.
