The Skills People Group are a national provider of NVQs and specialise in both commercial and funded training and are proud to be nationally recognised as one of the UK s largest private training providers. We are currently recruiting for a highly organised, qualified Construction Trainer Assessor to join our existing team. The construction Trainer Assessor is responsible for encompassing training, reviewing and completing learners within construction at Levels 2 and 3 on varying funded programmes. This role will require you to deliver high quality teaching, assessment and support the classroom performance of the learners that are employed, as well as aid the learners with portfolio building. There is a requirement to have experience in the delivery of groundworks and plant construction qualifications. This is a new and exciting role as part of our delivery of skilled bootcamps in construction. The successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities: Carrying out training and assessment using a variety of different methods as part of the delivery of qualifications at levels 2-3, to ensure the successful outcome for the full achievement of the programme in line with contractual requirements. Deliver training modules at employers premises to both group and individual learners To work closely with employers to plan delivery in line with durations agreed. To upload and track all learning through e-portfolio OneFile so progress is evidence at all times. Visiting learners in the workplace and delivering teaching & learning in line with the qualification requirements Produce monthly progress reports of learners within your caseload. Attend and participate in standardisation as planned / or required. To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact Complete all relevant funding documentation and administration tasks to meet compliance requirements. The ideal candidate must possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities: Experience of working in the Construction Industry Experience of training and assessing NVQ s in Construction Experience of using an e-portfolio Experience of teaching/training in a workplace environment in groups Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Able to follow processes Enthusiasm in the workplace Work well under pressure Experience within Construction is essential Full UK driving licence and use of own car, prepared to travel The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: A valid teaching qualification at a minimum of PTLLS Recognised NVQ Assessor Qualification e.g. A1 or D32, D22, TAQA Ideally a level 2 qualification in the specialist sectors of delivery Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.
