Our client is a leading electrical contractor, specialising in control systems for process control, automation, and telemetry. Supplying into customers within the water, utilities, energy and manufacturing industries.

Due to growth within the business and further contracts secured with their customers they are looking for an experienced Controls & SCADA Engineer to support projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

The role will require the Controls & SCADA Engineer to hold technical responsibility for all elements across automation and technical solutions to customers
Be required to travel to customer sites throughout the London and Southeast region
Based out of the main office in Reading, but travelling out to customers
Ability to effectively liaise with internal teams and external clients & customers
Integrating new control applications on Clear SCADA
Testing and commissioning of control panels & SCADA systems at customer sites
Liaising with customers to identify and clarify their needs
Producing testing & commissioning reports
Troubleshooting, modifying and correcting existing customer sites SCADA systems to meet their needs and assess areas for improvements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Previous experience on SCADA Software – ideally on Schneider Electric Clear SCADA
Must have good understanding and experience with SCADA systems
Understanding of water industry control systems would be beneficial
Ability to organise and manage time effectively
Experienced in the commissioning & testing of control panels & SCADA systems
Qualified in Control Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Good written, verbal and reporting skills
Flexible to travelling to customer sites throughout London, the Southeast region and sometimes other parts of the UK
Strong problem solving & fault finding skills
Able to work well with multi-functioning teams
Professional approach & customer facing experience
